Our Mission
Our mission is simple. It’s to spread optimism, kindness, positivity, and overall good noise in a scary year of 2020.
We hear noise every day. Whether it be the voice you listen to in the morning on the way to work or the band on the weekends, everybody makes noise. Why not make it good? We are creating this not with the intention of earning money, not looking for fame, but instilling a lifestyle within people that makes this world a better place - a place everyone deserves.
Making good noise does not involve an agenda, a belief, or political views. Make Good Noise is a platform for betterment for both for the individual and the community - let’s fill this world with Good Noise.
How We Got Started
Make Good Noise is a concept that we came up with when trying to explain the sound of Caamp, a band that we were very into at the time. They have a very unique style which gave me a hard time when trying to articulate why we liked them so much. After struggling with my words, out came the phrase “Make Good Noise”, which struck my friend’s interest.
We were making the drive back to Nashville after visiting some friends in Athens for a big football weekend and spent the remainder of the drive putting together an apt description of what this phrase was growing into. After a lot of excitement and creativity, we decided that we wanted this to be more than just a phrase. It would become a concept born out of music but applicable to our perspective on life. Not only would we seek out good noise on the concert stage, but aim to produce as much good noise in our day-to-days for the world to enjoy.
What started in Nashville is growing across the southeast, with people committing to making good noise - regardless of city, race, religion, or creed.
